Juju Bae

Podcast, Video Series, and Television Development

Juju Bae is a host, educator, ethnographer, author, and conjurer whose work centers on exploring and preserving the spiritual traditions of the Black diaspora. Through storytelling, research, and conversation, she has built a powerful platform that connects contemporary audiences with ancestral wisdom, cultural memory, and spiritual practice. Her award-winning show, “A Little Juju Podcast,” has served as a living archive of Black spirituality and its relevance in modern life since 2018. Blending personal narratives, expert interviews, folklore, and cultural history, the podcast offers listeners a thoughtful exploration of conjure, healing traditions, and the spiritual practices carried across generations. Through A Little Juju Podcast, Juju Bae encourages audiences to reconnect with the spiritual heritage and ancestral practices that continue to shape identity and community today. The next phase of her project centers around the central question: What aspect of God do we miss when we ignore God’s image in the diversity of human religiosity? This question will drive a broader examination of the religion, culture, and faith practices that exist across the United States.

Blue Ridge Collaborative’s Role

We are partnering with Juju Bae to support the next phase of growth for her storytelling platform. Our work focuses on funding a new season of A Little Juju Podcast while also helping expand the project into additional visual and broadcast formats.

In collaboration with Juju Bae, BRC is supporting the development of a YouTube vlog series that will bring her storytelling, teaching, and cultural commentary into a visual medium. We are also assisting in the early development of a television pilot, positioning Juju Bae’s work for broader distribution and audience reach.

Through production support, creative strategy, and infrastructure development, BRC is helping ensure that Juju Bae’s work continues to grow as an influential platform documenting and celebrating diverse spiritual traditions. This partnership reflects Blue Ridge Collaborative’s commitment to projects that preserve cultural knowledge, amplify underrepresented perspectives, and create new pathways for stories rooted in community, heritage, and lived experience to reach wider audiences.
