Heroic Kids is an immersive digital experience designed to empower children aged 5 to 18 to navigate the complexities of personal safety in an increasingly dangerous world. By combining game-based learning with a customizable animal sidekick, the project transforms body safety and digital literacy into an engaging adventure. The platform bridges the gap between child and parent, replacing fear with confidence and a proactive strategy for protection.
Blue Ridge Collaborative’s Role
Blue Ridge Collaborative is partnering with CJ Scarlet, aka The Badass Grandma, to create the Heroic Kids Safety Game, which addresses the alarming rise in online and physical threats facing today’s youth. Parents have full control over their child’s experience in the game through the Parent Portal. The app will lead to crucial conversations and create stronger, closer bonds between parents and their children.
BRC will help develop the beta version of the app and support testing with middle school students and parents to ensure high engagement and efficacy. We will assist in building out specialized modules for Online Dangers and Bullying, while establishing a pilot program to measure long-term outcomes. Ultimately, the app will feature a comprehensive suite of safety modules—including Sexual Consent and Anti-Trafficking education—to schools and global organizations.
